If you have not already received a confirming e-mail on your registration please consider this notice as such. Below you will find Directions to Emory University for those of you not taking advantage of our shuttle service. PLEASE NOTE: The following individuals listed below have requested our FREE shuttle service. If your name is not on this list and you would like to be picked up by our shuttle on either June 1st or June 2nd please e-mail us by Friday, May 28th to insure a reservation. We will be confirming airport returns at your check-in and, if you are leaving on the 6th and would like transport to the airport you can reserve a spot at that time.

Driving from Hartsfield International Airport:

Take Interstate 85 North and Exit Clairmont Rd. (Exit 32). Proceed South on Clairmont Road about three miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right on North Decatur Rd. Proceed on N. Decatur Rd. approximately one mile to Clifton Rd. Turn right at Clifton Rd. You will see Emory Campus Buildings. Continue up Clifton Rd. - Woodruff is on the Right.

Other Transportation from the Airport:

1. Airport Shuttle Service: This shuttle will transport conference guests to and from the Atlanta Airport for $15.00 one way or $24.00 round trip. The shuttle will stop at the Woodruff Residential Center as well as other Emory locations. Reservations are strongly recommended one day in advance but can be made a minimum of two hours prior to pick up. Without a reservation the shuttle will not stop on campus. Please call 404-524-3400 for reservations. 2. Taxi - The taxi fare from the airport to Emory is approx. $30.00 3. Marta - From the Airport, take the MARTA train northbound to the Lindbergh Station. Exit the train at Lindbergh and then board bus #6 which will make multiple stops on the Emory Campus. The fare for the Marta system is $1.50. Driving from Interstate 285:

Exit at Stone Mountain Freeway (Hwy. 78) on the northeast side of town and go west toward Decatur. Move into the left two lanes where the sign reads "To Lawrenceville Highway - Decatur." Proceed about two miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur about three miles to Clifton Road. Turn right.

Driving From Interstate 75

Whether coming from North or South, be aware of the junction of interstates 75 and 85 on the north side of downtown. Take Interstate 85 North and exit the Clairmont Rd. (exit 32). Proceed south on Clairmont Rd. about three miles to North Decatur Rd. Turn right on North Decatur Rd. Proceed on N. Decatur Rd. approx. one mile to Clifton Road. Turn right on Clifton. Woodruff Residential Hall is on the right.

Driving from Interstate 20

Take interstate 20 to Moreland Ave. (exit 28) on the east side of downtown. Proceed north on Moreland Ave. approx. four miles to N. Decatur Rd. (Please note that the intersection for Moreland and Ponce De Leon, the Street name changes to Briarcliff Rd.). Turn right onto North Decatur and proceed tot the fourth stop light and turn left on Clifton Rd. Woodruff Residential Hall is on the right.

From Interstate 85:

Exit Clairmont Rd (Exit 32) on the north side of downtown. Proceed south on Clairmont Rd. about three miles to North Decatur Rd. Turn right on N. Decatur Rd. Proceed on North Decatur approx. one mile to Clifton Rd. Turn Right on Clifton. Woodruff is on the right.

Telephones and Telephone Messages:

All guests will have telephone service in their rooms. Guests may either bring their own phone or purchase one at the Information Desk for $10.00. This phone will be yours to keep throughout the conference. Local calls are free and long distance calls require the use of a personal calling card. The Woodruff desk will be open throughout the conference. Messages left for guests will be posted on the bulletin boards at the desk. The number at Woodruff is (404) 251-8397.

Linen Service:

We have contracted with guest services for line to be provided for all of our housing guests. This includes: two sheets, one pillowcase, one pillow, two towels, one washcloth, one blanket, one plastic cup and one bar of soap.

Laundry Facilities

Each residence hall on campus is equipped with coin-operated laundry machines. Washing machines cost $ .75 per load and dryers cost $.25 per 20 minute cycle. You may purchase laundry soap from the Conference Information desk during operating hours.

What to Bring

The following items are not provided in the residence hall and you may want to bring them with you: alarm clock, telephone, small reading lamp, clothes hangers. The following items are provided in your room: single bed, clothes storage, desk and chair, wastebasket.

Weather:

It will no doubt be rather warm. Temperatures may dip into the mid-fifties to sixties at night but will reach the low to mid-eighties during the day. Atlanta is also notoriously humid even this early in the summer. You may want a light sweater for night and for sitting in air conditioning during the day but dress comfortably for the heat for your brief walk from the residential hall to the conference site itself.
