Conference on the Study of Religions of IndiaHistory/General InformationThe Conference on Religion in South India (CRSI) was founded in 1971 to support academic study of religious traditions in South India and its areas of influence elsewhere. Emory University provided administrative support and Prof. Paul Courtright served as Chairman of the conference from 1985 to 2001. In 2004 the organization expanded its focus and changed its name to the Conference on the Study of Religions of India (CSRI).
